Quick personal update from me, the guy behind Guno.
I got hit hard with influenza. Like the kind that wipes out your whole week, leaves you sleeping at weird hours, and makes your brain feel like it is running at ten percent. I have been trying to do small stuff when I can, but realistically I have not been able to put real time into the project the way I want to.
I hate going quiet without saying anything, because I know people check in and wonder what is going on. Nothing bad happened to Guno. The project is still alive, still important to me, and still moving forward. I just need to get fully back on my feet.
I Will Be Back Soon
As soon as I am better, I am jumping back in. I am already itching to work again. Right now I am doing the boring part, resting, hydrating, and letting my body finish the job so I do not relapse and lose even more time.
There Is Still a Lot to Do Here
Guno is not a one and done thing. There is a long list of improvements and expansions I want to tackle, and I am genuinely excited about what this can become.
- More polish across the site so it feels smoother and more consistent
- More ways for people to discover great static sites without fighting an algorithm
- Better tools for creators who want to build and publish simple sites
- More community features that stay true to the early web vibe
If you have sent feedback, suggestions, or links to cool sites, I have seen them. I might not reply right away while I am recovering, but I do read them and I appreciate it more than you know.
Thank You for the Patience
If you are one of the people rooting for this project, thank you. Seriously. I will post again once I am back in motion and pushing updates.
Talk soon.
