James Hamelton Jr

Founder & Webmaster
“Building websites since the early days of the web.”
James is the founder of Guno and has been designing, building, and maintaining websites for more than 25 years. What started as a curiosity during the early days of the internet grew into a lifelong passion for web development, design, branding, hosting, and helping others build a presence online.

He created Guno to celebrate the web itself. In a time when so much of the internet revolves around social media and algorithms, Guno exists to highlight independent websites, share useful resources, recognize great work through community awards, and encourage people to create something of their own.

When he isn't working on Guno, James develops custom web applications, writes about technology and internet culture, experiments with new ideas, and enjoys preserving the spirit of the classic web while embracing modern technologies. He believes the best websites aren't always the biggest ones—they're the ones built with genuine passion.
Fun fact: If it's 2 AM and he's awake, there's a good chance he's building something.

Aurora Moreno

Senior Editor & Community Administrator
“Finding the stories worth telling.”
Aurora Moreno serves as Senior Editor & Community Administrator, helping shape both the editorial direction of the site and the community that surrounds it. She works closely with the founder to oversee day-to-day operations, review content, and ensure everything published reflects the standards and values the site was built on.

As a writer and blogger, Aurora enjoys turning ideas into articles that are informative, engaging, and enjoyable to read. Her interests span technology, internet culture, everyday life, and the stories that often go unnoticed. She believes the best writing feels like a conversation—honest, approachable, and worth sharing.

When she isn't writing or reviewing submissions, you'll usually find her brainstorming new article ideas, keeping an eye on community discussions, or helping the team refine content before it goes live. Her goal is simple: create a place where readers feel welcome and always leave having learned something new.
Fun fact: Usually has a notebook full of article ideas before finishing the last one.
