Install the code on your submitted badge page. Keep all three navigation links visible. Pending or paused badges lead here until the site is approved. With only one member, navigation returns to the ring directory.

How to join

  1. Apply with a site you own or manage. Your website must be static and suitable for Guno's directory.
  2. Confirm your email and install a badge. We send your member ID and confirmation link. Add the HTML badge to your homepage or links page.
  3. Wait for review. An admin checks your site and ring links. After approval, your Previous, Random, and Next links connect to the other members.

Applications are reviewed by a person. Your email stays private and is used for confirmation and membership messages. Your site name, URL, description, and category appear publicly after approval. Privacy policy.

The website and badge page must use the same hostname. A links page or homepage is fine. Enter the final public URL without query parameters.

Webring information

What qualifies as a static website?

A site whose public pages are delivered as HTML, CSS, images, and optional browser scripts. Static generators and static hosting are welcome. Guno uses technical signals and human review; a technology detector cannot prove every site's architecture.

What happens if my site or badge breaks?

Checks respect robots.txt and use bounded requests. A temporary error does not remove you. Three unsuccessful checks on separate days can pause navigation; we email you and keep your record so an admin can restore it after review. Sites that block automated checks can contact Guno.

Can I customize the badge?

Yes. Choose any of the three styles or use your own design. Keep visible Previous, Random, and Next links with your exact member ID. The badge page may differ from the homepage, but must use the same hostname. No JavaScript is needed.

How are sites ordered?

By first approval, with a stable member ID as a tie-breaker. Previous and Next wrap around the ring. Random chooses another active member. Paused and rejected sites are skipped. Membership does not automatically add a site to Guno's search catalog.
